Great Classic American Food — pure nostalgia done right!Al’s Hot Dogs is a true gem. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping back to the classic roadside stands of your childhood. Everything is cooked the right way with real quality ingredients.The hot dogs are perfectly grilled with that great snap, loaded with fresh toppings. But the beef tallow fries? Absolutely incredible — golden, ultra-crispy, and full of that rich, old-school flavor you rarely find anymore. My whole family devoured them.They have excellent options for everyone: classic dogs for the kids, spicy chicken sandwich, Burgers, pizza and lots of options.Super family-friendly, friendly staff, and generous portions at fair prices.If you want hot dogs and fries that taste like they used to, made with care and tradition, this is the place.It’s become one of our favorite spots. Highly recommend!

Amazing addition to long grove. Such a cool atmosphere. Food is amazing. Best Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had.

The retro diner atmosphere is something you don’t see every day, and the attention to detail throughout the restaurant is impressive. From the vintage gas pump and old-school decor to the classic menu, everything comes together to create a fun and welcoming experience.The food was excellent, especially the Philly cheesesteak, which was packed with flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and you can tell a lot of passion and hard work went into creating this place. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Wishing the owners continued success!

I was able to make it to the first day they opened, loved the ambiance and they didn't even have the decor all finished but looked great! The food was delicious, topped it off with a shake and a root beer float to go.The owners are so nice and friendly and aren't afraid to welcome you in and have a conversation just like you're family!

Nice addition to long grove, everything is home made to my surprise. Prime cuts of Italian beef, snappy Vienna dogs, fresh shakes! Can’t ask for more highly recommend.

Al’s Hot Dog in Long Grove was outstanding! We had both the hot dogs and the Italian beef, and everything was delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from a classic Chicago-style spot. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent.We were also excited to learn from Joshua that they offer catering, and after our experience, we’ve decided to have Al’s cater our Fourth of July party. If the food we had is any indication, our guests are in for a treat. Highly recommend Al’s Hot Dog to anyone looking for great food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!

Love this place. The food portions are very big and priced right. The strawberry shake is had was unbelievable. Can't wait to go back.

Just tried Al's Hot Dogs for the first time today and I'm blown away! 🔥The Serrano Pepper Smash Burger is hands down one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The flavors are incredible!And let's talk about the fries—fresh hand-cut fries cooked to crispy perfection, topped off with a cheese sauce that's unlike anything I've ever had.This place is a must-try! 🍔🍟

The food and service were outstanding. I love the details of the 50s decor- the restaurant is so inviting and fun! Food was delicious- the signature Spicy Cheeseburger is amazing! My daughter is picky and she loved the Mac n cheese! Great place to stop for dessert as well! Bina was so sweet and did an excellent job making sure everyone had their order with a smile! 😊

Had a cheeseburger, fries, and chocolate milk shake and it was all awesome! The star of the show was the cheeseburger. The cheeseburger is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Will certainly be back.

Brand new concept and cute atmosphere. Love the 50's aesthetic decor. The girls upfront were super friendly greeting us walking in and was very easy to order with them.The prices are unbelievably affordable and the portion sizes are HUGE!! Everyone was pleased with their meal. Thank you for the great experience.
